Phenotype Definition

Bronchiolitis obliterans organizing pneumonia (BOOP) is and interstitial lung abnormalitiy characterized histopathologically by plugs of granulation tissue lying within small airways, alveolar ducts, and alveoli and by chronic inflammatory cell infiltration in alveolar walls.
